Happy Record Store |
Today is the fourth edition of the Record Store Day, the day you should get your fat ass on the computer and check your local record store. You know, the place is always full of strangers and abroad, including Records. Of course, I'm one of those people are rare and strange, such as records, and for me there is no better way to spend an hour before, or while browsing through racks of CDs. Vinyl Or, if you do not have their plates in the attic (unlike me, bah).
My favorite is currently the Rough Trade East celebrates the day a series of concerts in stock. Details here. In fact, the shop Rough Trade East is probably the least indie ever, an area of about 18 record stores in size. And has sofas and a coffee, but I have the Old Truman Brewery, is surrounded by bars and stuff, sitting in the big yard where you and your people to watch the painfully fashionable East London in their natural environment in addition to the more casual Banker Commercial Street, moved to how other people live in 99%.
And the staff is nice, too. Almost as beautiful as a beautiful woman in the Vail Valley Eagle Music and comics (of all places) that I have walked for many years and returned about an hour, spent about $ 100. A good place and I like to always have a spot and also take part in Record Store Day is only a record store for you - you know with affection, although it was only six years and 10,000 miles.
However, there are many things, special versions are only for the day, all that. My favorite is the band Frightened Rabbit and The Twilight Sad are a few demos of each band. Both were recorded at room microphones doubtful, and to show both sets of demos, like any large group are terrible and most talented and deserving of your attention that 99% of the Muppets.
So run to the record store and bag a copy. And get one for me, right? I am waiting at home. Gah information.
